This project is a collection of Windows Phone 7 and 8 utility classes that are created or brought together by the Dutch Windows Phone developer community, a loose band of enthusiasts usually referred to as "#wp7nl" by their twitter hashtag
(these days we use #wpnl). Originally all of it was mine - I made this project by popular request as convenient way to distribute stuff that appeared earlier as samples on
my blog. Later contributions by other people were added. Currently it support both Windows Phone 7 and 8. The namespace is still wp7nl to prevent all kinds of namespace troubles.
It builds upon the following libraries:
- MVVMLight by Laurent Bugnion
- Phone7.Fx by Nicolas Humann
- Windows Phone toolkit
Parts of it is source code that is not available as binaries but that was found from the internet as source code only. Where possible, credits are shown in the source code. Please contact me if you object to code being included in this library or if you
feel I have shortchanged you on the credits.
The goal of this library to make life for the Windows Phone 7 developer easier so they won't have to spend time solving problems that are already solved, and can concentrate on making apps.
Here a the hall of fame of
apps actually using this library. ;-) Please contact me if you would like to see your apps included.
The toolkit is available
as a NuGet package. The downloads from this page are no longer supported.
As you may have noticed I am not the most gifted logo designer in the world. If anyone has better ideas, please feel free to suggest so.
If you would like to contribute code, please feel free to contact me as well.
A provisional, and incomplete port of this library to WinRt is being maintained here
